This event brought together women working in some of the largest think tanks, non-profits, and government departments in Washington D.C. The are doing important work on all fronts, but I was really struck by how much weight they gave to simple pleasures and small acts of kindness and the impact those things have on their wellbeing in the long run.
We had wine, chocolate, cheese and a conversation about reinforcing our bodies as a form of political action. It was an inspiring event the weekend after the midterm elections!
